Essential Bottoms

Black Pants

Slightly roomier cuts with a bit more movement provide a more flattering look and can be worn with a silk blouse and pumps for work or with a more stylish top for after hours engagements.

Pencil Skirt

Traditionally used as work wear, however, the pencil skirt is  moving into after hours by being paired  with a silk camisole, sweater or a t-shirt.

Dark Denim Jeans

A dark-wash is slimming and a slightly high-rise style gives the illusion of long, slim legs. Also, jeans made from stretch denim with no more than two percent lycra will follow your curves while maintaining its shape.

How many of these essential bottoms do you have in your wardrobe?

  1. I have a go to black dress that can be dressed up or dressed down. It can go from funeral to dinner...lol. Talk about multi-tasking! Still looking for that dark well fitting denim jeans though.
