Taking Your Body Measurements

You should note down each measurement immediately after taking it.

How to take your body measurements

1. Shoulder to shoulder

Measure in a straight line from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other shoulder.

2. Bust

Place the tape measure under the arms wrapping it around the back and the widest part of the bust which is normally the nipple area.

3. Natural Waist

Wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of your torso.

4. Rise

This measurement is from the natural waist down to the crotch. While holding the tape measure a little loose, place it between the legs from the bottom point of the crotch up to the natural waist.

5. Hips

With the feet close together, measure around the widest area of your hips which is normally where the hip bones are located. Ensure the tape measure is around the largest part of your buttocks.

6. Inseam

This measurement is from the crotch to the inside of the bottom of the ankle and gives you your pants length. Start from the bottom of the ankle and move up to the bottom of the crotch region.
