Styling the Hourglass Body Shape: Tops, Bottoms and Dresses

Accentuating details to highlight your proportions

~ Select clothing made from fabrics with a bit of stretch and soft fabrics like knits which will accentuate and complement your curves.

~ V- necks and other low necklines such as scoop and sweetheart will complement your bust.

~ A dark coloured belt worn around the narrowest part of the waist will highlight your hourglass figure.

Tops

Select  tops that will highlight your waist and maintain the balanced look of your figure such as:
> Form-fitting tops.
> Wrap-style tops.
> Belted tops.
> Tops with banding or nipping at the waist.
> Tailored shirts and jackets.

Bottoms

Almost any bottom can be worn once paired with one of the previously mentioned tops. Examples of suitable bottoms include:
> Pencil skirts.
> High-waisted pants.
> Boot cut and straight leg pants.
> Skinny jeans and pants.

Dresses

Look for dresses with fitted waists or adjustable-waist styles in order to achieve the best fit for your form. Suitable styles include:
> Fitted waist sheath.
> Wrap.
> Knit.

As an hourglass body shape, how do you like to pair your tops and bottoms?

  2. That's a good choice as it will accentuate your lovely body shape.
